Every week I receive emails from FTD offering me 15 miles per dollar spent on almost all items on their website if purchasing via the below link:

I thought... What a great deal! What I did not know is sometimes they have "unadvertised" promotions for 30 miles per dollar or ever 1,500 miles on any purchase.
When they offer x miles per dollar you tend to purchase higher cost items to earn more miles. Figure out how much each mile is worth or if you are close to reaching an award this might be a great way for you to get those few miles you need.
I recommend that before you purchase with FTD or 1-800 flowers you check the website of the airline you are banking your miles with:

For my husband: I found a deal on Delta.com for 30 miles per dollar on 1-800 flowers when FTD was only giving me 15 miles per $ 1 spent.
